Sky Tate is the Blue Ranger of the S.P.D. (Space Patrol Delta) team in Power Rangers S.P.D. Initially, he was supposed to be the Red Ranger, following in his father's footsteps. However, upon Jack Landors' arrival and assignment to the Red Ranger position, Sky became the Blue Ranger, a role he struggled with initially due to his pride and desire for leadership.

Sky is highly skilled in combat and possesses exceptional discipline. He is a dedicated and loyal member of S.P.D., although his early arrogance and adherence to rules sometimes caused friction within the team. As the series progresses, Sky learns valuable lessons about teamwork, humility, and trusting his teammates.

His special ability is a force field projection that allows him to defend himself and others. Over the course of the series, Sky matures into a more selfless and compassionate Ranger, eventually earning his place as the S.P.D. Red Ranger in the future, fulfilling his initial ambition but earning it through genuine growth.
